'I am a single mom, can you give me a better price? ' I came across a lot of parents like that. But this Ms L has a very peaceful and happy face i have ever met among all the single moms. She told me that she is not working now. She has a house for renting and this bigger one for herself and her daughter. The basement is renting to a Philippino single mom with her daughter. So, she has enough income for livelihood.
She told me that her case is different. Her ex is a medical doctor from China. After immigrating to Toronto, he got a kind of calling and became a monk and divorce her. He went back to China and living in the temple, at the same time , functions like a medical doctor to help others.
Last year, Ms L and her daughter went back to China to visit him. The little girl was very excited and called 'daddy' when she met him. He told the little girl dont call him daddy, call him The Monk, his name is Si kong da si.
Her ex came back to Canada every 2 years for public speech in Toronto. When he came back here, he lives in the temple.
The 7 years old little girl can recite the religious verses and told her mom dont eat anything that can fly or can walk on earth. It is sin. Both mom and daughter only eat vegetables cook in water without any salt or other ingredients.
There are many families in the world, when you open a door, you find out a new story. This one stuns me.
